Soraya used to compete both at County Level showing and in dressage and eventing.  Her main interest now lies in thoroughbred races horses, not only on the track but in their retraining for other disciplines.  With this lifelong passion for horses Soraya gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Animal Osteopathy following an additional year of study.  From these studies Soraya mostly treats horses and dogs.  Her equine osteopathic treatments consider not only the pain and dysfunction of the horse but also the impact of the rider and as such tailors her treatment approach to ensure both are of optimum health to obtain improved performance.  Through the treatment of animals, Soraya has developed her sense of touch and observation to isolate injured tissues as animals are unable to communicate which areas are causing pain.

Having worked at Saffron Walden Osteopaths since qualifying in July 2000, Soraya purchased the clinic in November 2008 and has since expanded the team of therapists to provide a wide range of treatments all offering a holistic approach to each patient.
